 HUNSDIEKER REACTION

Its given in brilliant package that - d yield and ease of formation of R-X is-

1 degree RX > 2degree RX > 3 degree RX

but actually d reaction proceeds via free radical mechanism so d given order should be just reversed since 3 degree free radical is more stable than 2 degree which is turn is more stable than 1 degree.

Is d given statement true?? plz explain if its true???

dude here too d same info is given regarding d yield of halides ( but d reason is not given)but as it proceeds through free radical d order should be reverse na???

since 3degree radicl is the most stable, hence it will react least.

yup tarun is rite !! if something is more stable .. then it will react slow with respect to the the unstable one..
