There are six different alkenes A ,B,C,D,E and F each on addition of one mole of hydrogen gives G which is the lowest molecular weight hydrocarbon containing only one asymmetric carbon atom .None of the above alkenes give acetone as aproduct on ozonolysis .give the structure of A ,B,C,D,E and F Identify the alkene which is likely to give ketone containing more than five carbon atoms on treatment with a warm concentrated solution of alkaline KMnO4

g is the lowest mol wt alkane with one asymmetric carbon atom so g is 3 methyl hexane.

possible alkenes which can produce g on hydrogenation are(also which do not gv acetone on ozonolysis)

1) 3-methylhex-1-ene

2)3-methylhex-2-ene

3)2ethylpent-1-ene

4)3-methylhex-3-ene

5)4-methylhex-2-ene

6)4-methylhex-1-ene

only 3 gives ketone containing more thanfive c atoms with KMnO4
