Only HBr shows peroxide effect.give reasons

HI will be so slow and HF, HCl needs more energy.

this is because H I gets self disassociated as 2H + 2Iie; HI <==> H + Imoreover during peroxide effect organic peroxides like benxoyl peroxide are used which results in free radical ,but its energy content is insufficient to break HCL and HF bond hence only HBr shows kharash or peroxide effect

both the initiation and the propagation step should be exothermic to follow poroxide effect Which in turn is followed only by HBr..(as taught in bansal classes)
