bcos
polar protic solvent so relatively mild base
good carbocation formed
good leaving group
it is SN1 reaction

Hey the points you given are right and you oncluded it s SN1 then why you choose answer (a). SN is nucleophilic substitution so the answer is (b) nucleophilic substitution.

the answer is both a and b
its nucleophilic substituion of tertiary alky bromide
while it is electrophilic substitution of aq koh
