why are you having doubt in this ( it has got one full class of questions) obviously Na salt of the acid will be formed along with h2o ( haven,t you done carboxylic acid derivatives yet
|
you have to run faster and faster so as to remain where you are.. even if you are on the right track you will get run over if you just keep sitting there...

I THINK A CYCLIC PRODUCT IS FORMED NOT SURE BECOZ WHEN SUCCINIC ANHYDRIDE IS HEATED WITH NaOH NAPTHALENE FORMATION OCCURS BUT I AM NOT SURE ABOUT THIS

aakriti, ofcourse i hav done it!!!! nd even i think it shud be sodium salt of maleic acid only......but havnt u seen, someone's saying that it shud be acetylene, ???? check out the following post!!!!

so meghana, as Arun sir has replied, if we electrolyse it then ,then acetylene is formed and not otherwise and that is very obvious here mansi has not written, that it is electrolysed both of you are really confused ;)
