What actually happens to plane of polarized light when it passes through a chiral molecule?

 It turn the plane polarized light either into clockwise or anticlockwise direction.

it changes the orientation of coming light molecule either by rotating it clock wise or anti clock wise named dextro ratation anld leavo respectively.............
