 author  only says no alcohol is formed. So i cant know the exact answer.

The product is METHANE the grignard reagent will abstract the acidic hydrogen of the NH ... and will form Methane and CH3N(-)CH2CHO

see CH3- will be a very powerful strong base , and hence it will abstract a proton if available , and since this proton abstraction is an acid base reaction ,it will be dominant over oder reactions , hence methane is formed
