compound A, C7H14 decolorises Br2 in CH2CL2 and reacts with BH3 in THF followed by H2O2/OH- to yield compound B. when treated with KMnO4, B is oxidised to a carboxylic acid C. compound A, after ozonolysis and work up with H2O2, yield the same compound D as formed by the oxidation of cyclohexanol with chromic acid. identify A,B,C,and D.

Q 3)compound A,C10H14O does not react with Br2 water , acetyl chloride or boiling NaOH solution . on reaction with excess of HI , A is converted into B, C3H7I and C, C7H7I . B can be hydrolysed by eq NaOH to D , C3H80 which gives iodoform test . C can be oxidised to carboxylic ,E,C7H6O2 by chromic acid .assign structures to A,B,C,D and E.
