1. Give the steps for mechanism involved in the formation of diethyl ether by reaction between ethanol and conc. H2SO4 at 413 K.

2.Give a chemical test to distinguish between benzaldehyde & acetophenone. Also, give the equations...

3. Describe the formation of an aldehyde with the help of an example.

1. its given in d NCERT textbook clearly i think ....

 

2. Benzaldehyde gives Tollen's test ... i hope u know the rxn ....

also, the iodoform rxn ( add NaOH and I2 ) is answered only by acetophenone... it gives yellow ppt.
