-OH gp is a better +R gp than -OCH3 the OC bond is stronger than the OH bond so doesnt allow O to have 3 bonds in resonance even the steric effects of CH3 can affect the resonance effect

--OH have higher +Reffect than -OCH3 because there is steric hindrance of lone pair in alkoxy group so it gives less activating effect in benzene ring.most activating effect to benzene ring is -NH2 group.

Waht abt chlorobenzene?????? i think its deactivating anh there is -I effect........
