Which of the following compound show optical isomerism?
cis-[Co(NH3)4Cl2]+
(ii) trans-[Co(en)2Cl2]+
(iii) cis-[Co(en)2Cl2]+
(iv) [Co(en)3]3+

The answer is 3,4.
Just draw the structural formula and then draw its mirror image and try to superimpose the 2 compounds. If they superimpose, they are OPTICALLY INACTIVE. If they dont superimpose, they are OPTICALLY ACTIVE.
Out of these 4 compounds, only 3,4's images were non superimposable. If U dont get it, tell me. I will draw their figures.

I am posting the figures of optically active compounds only.
As far as compound (ii) is concerned, u can draw it by seeing compound (iii). Just replace the position of one en and Cl. U will find ki its symmetrical and hence optically inactive.
I think (i) is also optically active. Not much sure. Lemme see it again. Will tell you if it is also optically active.
