Melting point and Boiling point of almost every element or compound vary with temp and pressure..

eg:

water boils at 100C at room T and P...while at hilly areas due low P it boils at around 70C....

As the molecules can eescape the surface more easily.....

 melting point depends upon the surface area. so when u move down the group there is increase in melting point. same fr bp.
