A mixture of Carbon mono oxide and carbon di oxide is found to have a density of 1.7g/lit
I am assuming that the gas is at STP. 22.4 ltr of gas has a mass of 22.4*1.7 = 38g = 1mole of gas. If the mixture has x mole of CO and (1-x) mole of CO2 then 28x+44*(1-x) =38. Solve to get x and hence composition of mixture.
