Cathode rays are actually fast moving electrons n they thr4 do not depend on the nature of gas as all have the same electrons.
Anode rays, are the postively charged species. They arent the same for all atoms. When they r discharged , they emit light when they strike the walls. This is why the colour of the anode rays depends on the gas used.
Am i right ?

see when cathode rays r produce they hit the valence electrons of the gas and change them to noble gas core claaed kernel
