acid base titration.

Q to determine the normality of NaOH solution ?

theory:take NaOH in burette and 10 ml Std solution of HCl in conical flask, add 2 drops of phenolphthalein in HCl solution and titrate .u'll c a light pink colour w'll appear that is the end point note the volume of NaOH used. repeat this for 3 times.

calculation:

N_NaOHV_NaOH = N_HClV_HCl

we knw normality of HCL and its volume is 10.

volume of NaOH used is also known.

so we can calculate the normality of NaOH solution.

In burette u have to take the acid.. i think.. and pippette holds 20 ml of base

in burette u have to take naoh and inflask u have to take HCl in which u have to take indicator..
