You\ can\ directly\ use\ the\ formula\  \rho=\frac{ZM}{a^3N_0}

ho= rac{ZM}{a^3 N_0}\ \  N_0=6.023 imes 10^{23}\ \  M=12.01 (atomic mass of 1 carbon atom )\ \  Z=no.of atoms/crystal=2 (given)\ \  a=3.569 imes 10^{-8} cm\ \  substitute and you will get  ho=3.50605502 g/cc



Derivation:\\\ \\side\ of\ a\ unit\ cell\ =a\\\ \\ volume=a^3\\\ \\Let\ there\ be\ Z\ atoms\ per\ unit\ cell\\\ \\No.of\ moles/unit\ cell\ =\frac{Z}{N_0}\\\ \\Mass/unit\ cell\ =\frac{Z.M}{N_0}\\\ \\ \rho=\frac{m}{V}\\\ \\ =\frac{ZM}{a^3N_0}

bt dear u have taken wrong z..its given 2 atom per lattice point
n we knw that in fcc there are 4 atoms perunit cell..so in this case z has to be 8.
so jus change the z frm srujana's ans..

Sir, it occurred to me too

but taking Z=8 doesn't agree with the calculated values (3.5 g/cc acc to wiki)

taking Z=2 gives the correct answer
