I have 2 simple Qs to be solved

1.Vanderwaals forces are max in

a)HBrb)LiBrc)LiCld)AgBr

2.Whys AgF more soluble in water then AgCl etc

1) STRONGER THE VANDERWAL'S FORCE LESSER IT WILL BREAK UP INTO IONS

2) HYDROGEN,NITROGEN, OXYGEN,FLUORINE EXTENSIVELY PARTICIPATE IN HYDROGEN BONDING

FLUORIDE IONS PARTICIPATE IN HYDROGEN BONDING EXTENSIVELY COMPARED TO CHLORIDE.THUS MAKING AgF MORE SOLUBLE THAN AgCl

AgF is ionic , so more soluble

AgCl has covalent character

Vander walls forces are max. in AgBr

because larger the size , more are vanderwalls forces
