Look Prithvi,
An electron does not change its spin
The spin is changed only when it is involved in bonding.

hey prithvi,
electron can not change spin until and unless external force acts on it

sister just thionk what happens if an electron can change its spin.it would loose its identity .as u know ,no 2 electrons can have the same set of all the 4 quantum numbers, there is no possibility for an electron to change its spin

spin of an electron or any particle is intrinsic property of that particle the explanation and derevation of which is an automatic outcome of DIRAC'S EQUATION.
Further an electron can not change its spin only its direction is quantised in parallel and antiparallel direction i.e +1/2 and 1/2

The Scientist does not study nature because it is useful; he studies it because he delights in it, & he delights in it because it is beautiful. If nature were not beautiful, it would not be worth knowing, life would not be worth living. Ofcourse I do not here speak of that beauty that strikes the senses, the beauty of qualities & appearances; not that I undervalue such beauty, far from it, but it has nothing to do with science; I mean that profounder beauty which comes from the harmoniuos order of the parts, & which a pure intelligence can grasp. |
