energy in a shell is given by -13.6(Z^2/n^2) if n=infinity the energy becomes zero, if n=1 it is -13.6, so this way the energy increases more on the negative side while bringing the electron from infinity to the nucleus.

formula is -13.6*z^2/n^2eV hence as n E 1/n^2 so energy will increase towards -ve rate me if i m right i think i m correct

delU = -[ ] [ r] kze2r-2 dr
hence
delU = kze2/r
hence it is delU is +ve

maximum energy of any electron is zero at infinity so as we go towerds nucleus negative value increases means energy decreases so stability increases.as we go far from nucleaus energy increases so stability decreases.
