When the sodium salt of an organic acid is strongly heated, it yields sodium carbonate. If the weight ratio of the sodium salt to sodium carbonate obtained is 5 : 4, what is the equivalent weight of the acid ?

 answer is a...............weight of sodium salt/weight of sodium carbonate = 5/4.........

weight of sodium salt /83 = 5/4 .........

solve the equation..............
