1) is it true that undersome condn Mg can reduce SiO2 & si can reduce MgO? under what conditions?????? 2) compound used in soap as antiseptic?? 3) whats ferrocene??? 4) Al significantly electropositive electropositive yet used as structural material? 5) why alpha helix of protein named 3.6 13 helix??????

2)bithinal or also known as bithinol 3)Fe(CO)5 4)in the presence of an oxdn agent,a protective layer of oxide film is formed on the metal which makes it inert. hope this helps !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ferrocene formula is Fe(C5H5)2 ............ its not Fe(CO)5 .........
IUPAC NAME :::: bis(cyclopentadienyl)iron(II)
above 1693 K ., Si can reduce MgO to Mg
below 1693K , Mg can reduce SiO2 to Si

yes it is fairly possible....according to the ellingham diagram, the curves of Gibbs free energy, for formation of MgO and SiO2 intersect at a particular tempr(sorry i dont hav exact value..but it must sumwhere around 1700K)
and on one of the sides of that intersection point, one of them reduces the other and vicec vers on the other side of curve...
