HI srbhvtsa... I HAV A VERY SIMPLE FORMULA FOR U TO DEAL WID THE ENTIRE VOLUMETRIC TOPIC.... it says.....normality = molarity * x... here x is different 4 different cases... x= acidity if u r considering a base... x= basicity if u r considering an acid... x= positive or negative charge ...if u r considering a salt...
so... gram equivalents= moles* x... x is the same as mentioned above.... and yes...do not forget tht acidity or basicity of a base or acid respectively shud b taken wid caution cause ... sometimes a tribasic acid is given in a particular reaction...but it is not necessary tht u wil take x=3...it depends on the rxn also,....if in the rxn only one H of the acid ionizez...u wud take x to b 1....but if no such reaction is mentioned u can straight away take x to be 3.... ihope this was useful
