there is no need to learn

oxidation takes place at anode and reduction takes place at cathode

What do you mean by different cells. Do you mean any given galvanic cell or do you mean some of the important ones like Zn/Cu, Dry cell, Lead storage etc.

always remember that left side reactions r of anode while right side reactions r of cathode.in electrochemical cells at anode oxidation occurs  for example Zn reacts with CuSO4 to form ZnSO4 and Cu.
