here comes the role of Nuclear forces. It is a very strong force and acts within the nucleus. It is of the order of 10-¹⁵m.

Yah, i agree wid Gourav. Actually there is a repulsive force b/w the protons but the strong nuclear force can overcome it and thus the survival is possible.

it is a fundamental force.when the particle is far more than a certain distance,force become 0.but when the particle are in much closer than a certain distance,it become repulsive,otherwise it is attractive.so more particle means unstable.this is the reason behind radioactiity

there are four fundamental forces in nature and strong nuclear force is one among them, it acts in the nucleus between the proton-proton and holds them together strong enough to overcome repulsion. it is also known as quark-quark force...

They are attracted by strong nuclear force which is stronger than electrical force at small distance of 10^(-15) m.
