MOLECULARITY OF REACTION DEPENDS ON THE RATE DETERMINING STEP.(SLOWEST STEP)

N2O5 --->NO2+NO3(SLOWEST)
N2O5--->3NO2+O2 (FASTEST!!)

BUT THE MOLECULATITY IS 2!!!
WHY NOT ONE???

Molecularity of the rxn does not depend on slowest step, it is the rate of rxn and order of rxn that depend on slowest step, for finding molecularity simply add the two rxns  to  obtain overall rxn in which there are two molecules colliding to give the products so molecularity is two !

For molecularity see the overall reaction.....as stated above.......

ya..................
radon is right

molecularity depends only upon the total no of molecules taking part in reaction

it is rate of reaction that depends on slowest step of the reaction
