during radioactive  decay  we find the loss of protons but what happens to electrons they should not be lost because air is a bad conductor of electricity

The electrons are emitted as beta rays. They can travel in air. Air is a bad conductor of air only because of absence of free electron. If there are free electrons they can conduct in air.
