As per Bohr's theory ,

ang momentum = nh/2pi ( where n is principal quantum no)

But

ang momentum = root(l(l+1) * h/2pi

when an elecron is in 1s orbital

by first eqn

ang mom = h/2pi

by second eqn
ang mom = 0

which is correct?

the first one is the ANGULAR momentum of the electron moving
in an atom about the centre,NUCLEUS.
we derive it as : m*v*r
here r is distance from nucleus.

the second one is the ORBITAL angular momentum.

THEY ARE NOT THE SAME.

nh/2pi is the angular momentum of the electron in the nth orbital while root l(l+1) is the momentum of the orbital.

orbital anguler momentum related with orientation of orbital .this is expressed by the formula h/2l(l+1) here l is azumithal quantum number or secondary quantum number or subsidary quantum number.for S l=0 so for S orbital anguler momentum is zero so no orientation of orbital means it present equally on three axis.for Porbital there is value of anguler momentum so it has specific orientation at three axis.anguler momentum of orbit is derived by second postulate of bohrs theory ,mvr =nh/2pi mis mass of electron,v is velocity,r is redius of atom,n is number of shell,h is planks constant for example if we calculate anguler momentum of P orbit this is 6h/2pi
