A + B (in eq) C + D
K = [C] [D] / [A] [B]
where k is the equilibrium constant
its the ratio of the active concentration of products to that of the reactants
Active ratio is mols/litre

this is the basic stuff......if u need more ask

this is given by gouldberg and waages according to this active mass of reacting substance means moler concentration in homogeneous chemical reaction is directly praposnational to velocity of reaction,for reversable rection velocity of forward and backward reaction both r there at dynamic eqilibrium both r equal so    v1 = v2  Kc=[product]/[reactant] for example N2 +3H2 gives 2NH3  so Kc =[NH3]2/[N2]/[H2]3  for hetrogeneous equlibrium active mass of solid substance is always unity .
