sp3d3 count the no of sigma bonds. and in k2cr2o7 the hybridization state of cr is sp3 again c the structure in 12th's ncert and count the no of sigma bond

ha ha ha ha ha fst of all i haven't heard of IF72- the compound is IF7 n its hybridization state is Sp3d3...u can check in jd lee and inorganic chemistry by satya prakash.
n the hybridization state of Cr in dichromate is Sp3 itmeans shape is tetrahedral. that u can check in jdlee page no 788.

dude the above answers are correct.
IF7(2-) doesn't exist itz IF7
if you don't believe then check out any good college book of inorganic.
and as per of K2Cr2O7 the hybridization of both the Cr is sp3.
dev_22oct sir has replied correctly
SHORTEST FORMULAE FOR HYBRIDIZATION:
No of valence electrons + No. of atoms attached to central atom
whole divided by
2
CONDITIONS:
1. Don't count the multiple bonded attached atoms.
2. Don't coun't odd or unpaired electrons.
after putting the values in the formula if ya get:
2 then compound is sp hybridized
3 then compound is sp2 hybridized
4 then compound is sp3/dsp2 hybridized
5 then compound is sp3d/dsp3 hybridized
6 then compound is sp3d2/d2sp3 hybridized
in K2Cr2O7 you can easily find the valency of Cr it will come out to be 6. and anchit has already made the structure by using which you can get the answer that is sp3.
