The density of the vapour of a substance at 1atm pressure and 500K is .36kgm^-3. The vapour effuses through a small hole at a rate of 1.33 times faster than oxygen under the same condition. Which forces among the gas molecules are dominating?

the answer should be b) coz' the density is quite low & it also diffuses faster than oxygen, so repulsion force might be acting....

I didnt get pls explain why repulsive forces wod b acting if its density is low

if density is low then molecules are far apart so, repulsive forces will act coz' if attractive forces are acting then molcules will come close together( & density will be high) which is not the case....
