1) Correct set of 4 Quantum numbers of a 4d electron.
The answer is 4,2,1,0
Plz explain how this is the answer, the spin (m) = 0??
n=4 ----- OK
l=o to n-1 ie 0,1,2,3 but its 2 in the answer.

2) The first emission line of Balmer series in H spectrum has the wave number equal to:
The answer is 7R/(144)

spin should be either +1/2 or -1/2

and answer to the second should be 5R/36

yes, l = 2 for d.
But how is that 1,0 in the answer 4,2,1,0??

In the 2nd question, what formula to be used to what should be the value of n1 and n2 ??

this ans is not correct.

ans is 4,2,1,-1/2 or +1/2

becoz for 4d n=4 and l(azimuthal quantum no ) = 2(for d)

m can have values -l to+l including 0.
so m can have ne value frm -2,-1,0, +1,+2
and spin w'll have either +1/2 or -1/2
