silver has an atomic radius of 144pm and the density of silver is 10.6g/cm^-3..

to which type of cubic crystal silver belongs to???????

apply the formula....
density = (z*a)/(N*v)
z=no. of particles in unit cell
a=atomic mass fr silver
N= avogadro's no.
v=volume of unit cell=(radius)^3
d=density
calculate z....
z=1 primitive
z=2 bcc
z=4 fcc

wait i have a doubt?????

how to take the volume????????

why have u considered the given radius as the unit cell edge length???????

volume here will be edge length cube...take it as p
apply density now
and then find relation between r and p
this gives type of cubic metallic crystal

dat way,u can calculate the edge length from the above equation....
thn if edge length = 2r primitive
= (root 2)r - fcc
= (root 3)r - bcc

where r is the radius of the atom of silver.
