todays chem Maharashtra board que....
None
the boiling point will be max for
1)urea
2)sucrose
3)sodium chloride
4)sodium sulphate
i ve written the ans as sodium sulphate as van't hoff fACTOR will be max for it ..
but my frendz say it is sodium chloride as its mol wt is least and BP is inversely proportional to MOL wt
plzzz tell wat is correct...
rates assured

noo...yaar ......sorry to break this to you par ur wrong.......
the answer would be sodium chloride...the reason being ki..
the answer would be sodium chloride...the reason being ki..
there are strong electrostatic attractions between the positive and negative ions, and it takes heck a lot of heat energy to overcome them. ...
what ur friends said as reason isn't the most convincing one.........might be taken as a peripheral

and molecular weight won't matter here coz solutions are EQUIMOLAR and so also EQUIMOLAL ...
so van't Hoff factor =3 for Na2SO4 and 2 for NaCl...
this is theoretically right....experimentally it could very well be wrong..but with no given values i think sulfate shd be right
