How many grams of sodium hydroxide pellets containing 12%moisture are required to prepare 60 litres of 0.5N solution??

No. of gram equivalents( or moles as n factor NaOH is 1) in 1 lit = 0.5 => 60 lit contains 60 x 0.5 = 30 moles

= 30 x 40 = 1200gm  Let x gm of NaOH is reqd. => According to the given condition, we get

Solving x is approx. = 1364 gm. Please tell if ans is correct.
