this is bcoz wen roentgen discovered the rays he did nt had much information abt the nature of these rays...thus he namd these rays as x rays to signify its mysterious nature........RATE IF ASSURED...CORRECT IF WRONG

coz at d tym of discovery of these rays properties n origin of these rays were un known n in m,athematics we denote an unknown by x so following that rule they named it x rays
