can any1 explain me a concept.......
1)why is the conc. of H2O always taken as 55.55 mol/L
It is the conc. if we take 1g of water in 1mL
Is it the same if i take 25 g water in 120 mL suppose....???

25g of water in 120 mL of what ????
This "what" is water itself.
Density of water is 1 Kg/L. So, 1000g of water = 1000 mL =1L
1000/Molecular mass of water = 1000/18 = 55.55 M

arre all conc in aqueous mediums is done with respect to solvent ie. water...
so concentration = 55.55 mol / L always as one litre water has 55.5 moles (becos density of water is 1 Kg/ 1000 cc )
