Contraction of a rod

what if a rod(initial length l) with coefficient of linear expansion alpha is cooled by temperature (delta)T ,,, where (delta)T=(alpha)^(-1)..i.e. 1/(alpha)????

 LET THE NEW LENGTH BE-l'

AND ORIGINAL LENGTH BE-l

WE KNOW,

HENCE,l'-l=l

so,l'=2l

so,length of rod gets doubled!!!!
