3sin A + 5 cosA =5

     3sinA= 5-5cosA

   3sinA  = 5(1-cosA)

   3sinA( 1+ cosA)  = 5( 1-cos2A)      [ because  cosA =/= -1 , otherwise from first equation , u'll get sinA>1 which is not possible]

   3sinA(1+cosA)   = 5sin2A

   3(1+cosA) = 5sinA       [If sinA =/= 0]

   3= 5sinA - 3cosA

If sin A=0, then from first equation , cosA=1

So 5sinA - 3cosA = -3

You can also do this by squaring both the equations and then taking the square root.

listen.
if xcosA+ysinA=z,then,xsinA-ycosA=[ ] x2+y2-z2.
hence the problem.
please rate me also
