if we project the problem on horizontal plane we get....

also again by cosine formula

we have cos2@=2cos^2@-1

so....using dis in dese two eqn we have

 

or

its one of d roots ...other being 1-rt5

dis is figure of related plane and not the 3d building......cos we don need z axis...once we have found projection of h on the plane
