i dont know wether u will find this as a typical question but here it is

suppose its asked to find the period of sin x/3 + cos 2x/3
period of sin x/3 is 6 and that of cos 2x/3 is 3 
as sin x period is 2 that of sin x/3 is 6....in the same way for cos also

now the period for the question will be the LCM of 6 and 3
which is 6
so thats the answer
