is this statement correct, and why???
 
2(sec ^2 (x) -1)  +2 (cosec ^2(x) -1) is periodic with fundamental period

The function can be written as
2^|tanx|+2^|cotx|
Now
replace x by pi/2 +x
2^|-cotx|+2^|-tanx|=2^|tanx|+2^|cotx|=f(x)
u get
 f(pi/2+x)=f(x)
so the function has period pi/2
