If tan^2+cot^2 =2 then what is value of tan^100 +cot^100 ?

let tan^x = y.

then y^2 + 1/y^2 = 2

y^4 - 2y^2 + 1 = 0.

y^2 = 1.

y = +1 or y = -1.

so, y^100 + 1/y^100 = 2.

take either it will be the same :)

in the first line it is y = tan2x
