cross multiply,since (1-cosx)is not 0.

i.e. to prove becomes:

sinx *tanx=(1-cosx)*(1+secx)

i.e.

sinx*tanx=secx-cosx

i.e.

sinx*tanx=1-(cosx)^2/cosx

i.e.

sinx*tanx=(sinx)^2/cosx

i.e.

sinx*tanx=sinx*tanx

which is true.

pls rate.

Another method as this is a class X question

Replace tanx = sinx / cosx

then, write sinx = ( 1 - cosx ) (1+ cos x )
And its done.

sinx *tanx / ((1-cosx) =(1+secc x

sin2 x  /  cos x ((1-cosx)

1+cosx  /  (cos x)

(1+secc x )

sinx.tanx/[1-cosx]=[1+secx]

sinx.tanx=[1+secx].[1-cosx]

sinx.tanx=1+secx-cosx-1

sinx.tanx=sinx.tanx
