The ratio of the greates value of 2-cos(x) +sin^2(x) to its least value is:
None

The answer to the question  is 13/4.  Can u pls give a full solution?

Differentiate the given expression we get
sinx(2cosx+1) = 0
sinx=0 or cosx=-1/2
Thus least value is
2+0-1 = 1
Thus max value is 2+3/4+1/2 = 13/4
Thus ratio of max to min is 13/4
