The value of the function ranges from -root2 to root2 ..
only integral values in its range are -1 , 0 , 1 ..
we just have to find where it takes these values ..
-1 ~~ at x= (2n +1)pie or (4n -1)pie/2
1 ~~ at x= (2n)pie or (4n+1)pie/2
0 ~~at x= (4n-1)pie/4 ...
all i did was just calculated the principle value of x ..then generalised it.
aternative: plot a graph..
