The value of the function ranges from -root2 to root2 ..

only integral values in its range are -1 , 0 , 1 ..

we just have to find where it takes these values ..

-1 ~~ at x= (2n +1)pie or (4n -1)pie/2

1 ~~ at x= (2n)pie or (4n+1)pie/2

0 ~~at x= (4n-1)pie/4 ...

all i did was just calculated the principle value of x ..then generalised it.

aternative: plot a graph..
