Simple doubt

None

My fundas in vector are weak. So please clear my simple doubt. And please don't laugh at me as I haven't read vectors much.

My doubt(silly)

WE know that A=Axi+Ayj but in a triangle sum of two sides is greater than the other. Please reply. And please remember Don't laugh at me.

Arre bhai, what sort of a doubt is this?? U R badly confused in vectors.

First of all, that triangle thing is for the magnitude of its sides. In the formula, A = Axi + Ayj, it is vectorial addition and not the addition of their magnitudes.

The magnitude of A will be given by the formula-

A = (A_x² + A_y² + 2A_xA_ycos@)^1/2

triangle law is applicable for vectorial addition

whereas magnitude can be found by R=(A^2+B^2+2ABcosx)^1/2
