|A x B| (cross product)

| 3 -2 0| = 4 k and magnitude is 4 sq units`

Thats right
Area of parallelogram is = I A X BI
Here A=i-2j and B=3i-2j
i j k
Thus area = 1 -2 0
3 -2 0
|

Ofcourse I do not here speak of that beauty that strikes the senses, the beauty of qualities & appearances; not that I undervalue such beauty, far from it, but it has nothing to do with science; I mean that profounder beauty which comes from the harmoniuos order of the parts, & which a pure intelligence can grasp. |
