A particle starts from origin at t=0 with a velocity 5i m/s and moves in x-y plane under action of a force ? which produces a constant acceleration of (3i+2j)m/s2.The y coordinate particle, when its x coordinate is 84m is

 Apply s = ut + 0.5at^2

Which reduces to S = 0.5 at^2 (Since u =0)

So for any time t, s/a would be constant.

Now equating s/a for both X & Y axis.

84/3 = y/2

So y = 56

PLEASE IGNORE THE ABOVE POST

Apply s = ut + 0.5at^2

In X-axis (s = 84, u=5, a=3), Putting Value in the above equation we get t = 6, -9.3(Ignoring since time cant be -ve)

in Y-axis

s = 0.5 a t^2 (Since u =0)

s = 0.5 * 2 * (6^2)

s = 36 m
