Q6) Which statement about Enzyme action is wrong ---

        1) High Mol Wt             2) Proteins with 3-D structure         3) Rate of diffusion is very high     4) Act as catalyst & required in small conc.

Q7) In non-competitive inhibition --

      1) 30 str of enzyme is lost             2) Enz gets hydrolysed completely

     3) Enz gets activated         4) inhibitor gets absorbed on the active site of the Enz

Assertion & Reason type Qs:-

Q8)  A : Isoenzymes are useful to the organisms in adapting to varied environmental conditions

R : Isoenzymes differ in activity optima & inhibition

Q9)  A : FMN or FAD are involved with a particular class of enzymes of oxidation-reduction reactions and cannot be called prosthetic group.

R : FMN or FAD are very loosely attached and can be easily separated.

ans 1. most abundant element is water in living matter, not carbon... and the reason for this lies in water.. it makes upto 90% of cell mass....

ans 2.. answer is 1.. some bacterium, algae and green plants..

answer 3..  answer is 4. alginic acid... others are generally found in animals.. alginic acid is obtained from algae...phaeophytes...

answer 4... essential for humans, which cannot be synthesised in our body...

answer5.. cheeze is is denatured protein..

answer6.. answer is 3..rate of diffusion is very high.. coz it is not associated with enzyme action..

answer7.. is the answer 1.. tertiary structure lost.. actually, tertiary structure changes.. not lost....

answer 8..  1.. because reason and assertion both are true and reason explains assertion

answer 9.. sometimes, FMN and FAD are called as prosthetic groupts because they have metals.. and sometimes, they are also called as co enzymes..and with some receptors, they also bind very tightly.. i guess answer is 4..

plzz correct me if wrong..

yeah.. that may sound confusing, but FAD and FMN are 2 such moiety which act as coenzymes sometimes ans as prosthetic groups in some other reactions......
