"Each B and T lymphocyte displays on it's surface a speific receptor, the numer of cells expressing a given receptor is rather small. When this receptor interacts with the antigenic determinant specific to it, the lymphocyte becomes activated and divides to form a clone of cells."
Now, what makes the bone marrow and thymus so innovative that they can make lymphocytes with all kinds of receptors against any and every antigen in the world without any prior exposure to them ??
please tell me if my Q is not clear, i'll try to reframe the seemingly rather lame Q.

our chromosomes have near about 40000 genes whichich can form a variety of combinations of variable chains of antibodies. Such a high degree of permutations and combinations confers our body the ability to synthesize the astounding diversity of antibodies.
